I had an incredible experience at this location. Larry Lim was absolutely amazing! He was attentive to my questions and helped me getting the car that best matched my needs. Also, he was patient, friendly and explained me in details about the car’s features and functions.

Bought a Toyota 4Runner here. Purchased with Steven. Would absolutely purchase another vehicle from here. We set a very competitive price for out the door and they stuck to that price. No pressure tactics and very comfortable buying experience. 5 stars.
Toyota is very popular. That's why I bought a Rav4 there. But the after sales service sucks. I made an appointment for maintenance service for 10:30 am and I was waiting an hour and a half. I looked for my car through the workshop, but my car was in the same place. They did nothing! Then I called the person in charge and she told me that the employees were having lunch… just 2 hours later, they started doing maintenance and I had to wait another 2 hours. Please DO NOT BUY TOYOTA. I think that because of the lousy service, many go to different workshops. They don't care about their buyers.
They actually have master technicians who can work on a 1994 4RUNNER proficiently. Shout out to my service advisor, Karsen Siu, for updating me regularly on the status of my vehicle!
After looking for a new Toyota vehicle for multiple months we settled on a 2023 Highlander, here at the San Francisco Toyota. It has been almost 6 months now and we are still waiting for a second Key fob and there is no ETA. Our experience started well, little did we know about this dealer, they were not truly open about their process, running our credit twice simply because a personal check was used for deposit. The dealer ran our credit as a used dealer purchased and as Toyota financial loan, this process was never discussed with us nor took the time to say we ran it twice. The sales person told me my credit was getting run with Toyota financed only, not as a Used Dealership as well, so yes, We only agreed to one credit check but I guess they do as they pleased, very disappointed, and unprofessional of them. We have purchased multiple new vehicles, left personal deposit checks and no one else ran my credit twice. For the 2023 Highlander we have a love and hate situation, but we are more in the regret emotions of buying from this dealer and the vehicle as well. A brand new Toyota shouldn't make so many rattle noises, the quality keeps dropping. This will be my last time buying from this dealer, and perhaps my last Toyota vehicle, after 20 years of Toyota loyalty is time for a change, and this dealer managed to help me make up my mind. I wouldn't recommend the San Francisco Toyota dealer to my friends and family, or to anyone.
Sales people and the manager must be open with the process, and not wait for the customer to figure it out by reading every page, Edwin.
Where do I even begin?! Phillip was amazing from the get go. Incredibly personable, and so helpful getting things started before I even drove the hour to the dealership. He made us feel welcome when we walked in and introduced us to Ed, the general manager, who was just as polite and upbeat. James, the man was out in the rain setting up the last details before we finalized our purchase, and spent time making sure we were getting the right coverage and rate. And then Frank, he took care of all of the DMV work, explained additional coverage and warranties, and NO ONE was pushy. Everyone was as honest as one could wish for walking into a dealership about to purchase a new car, and even stayed passed closing to make this happen! We were treated like we were guests in their own homes, and that’s where it’s at, folks. I’m all around even more satisfied with this major purchase, BECAUSE of this team! Not to mention, that despite being in the busy city that is San Francisco, the establishment was warm and welcoming, and simply beautiful. Thank y’all again, for making this seamless and only hurt the pocketbook. 🙂
We worked with Aaron Yang he was great, answered all our questions, wasn't pushy or rude. Took us on am amazing test drive. We had our 5 years granddaughter with us and he was very patient with all her questions as well. This is the best car shopping experience we have ever had.
I had an appointment with Vic(sales rep) at 1:15pm. We arrived early (around 12pm) and I was told by Vic to see Phil Yue.
Phil had a very pleasant demeanor and set me up to speak with John(another sales rep) about the Mirai I was interested in. They were very busy that day and unfortunately John either got pulled away or just ghosted us and we were left waiting. Eventually we were paired with James Eagan (sales rep), and he did a great job of taking care of our needs. However, as it was a busy day, we did not get into actually purchasing the vehicle until around 2pm and left after 5pm.
THE OVERSIGHT:
A couple days after we had taken the car home, we realized quickly that the car was sliding around in the wet weather. I had it checked out at a wheel works who told me that all 4 tires needed to be replaced on my CPO Toyota. For safety and due to the rain we had been having, I decided to purchase new tires. Unfortunately, the security locks on the wheels had no key so I could not do it that day. The next day I called off from work, paid $1500 for new tires, $90 for new wheel locks, and $100 to remove the old wheel locks. The shop I went to (Firestone Complete Auto Care) also recommended a 4 wheel alignment for $120 since the inner portions of the tires were wearing faster than the rest of the tire. Nearly $1600 later, I was finally on my way.
THE SOLUTION:
**EDIT 12/23/23** I spoke with Phil Yue on 12/22/23 about my issue and he listened well, gathered all of my information about what had happened, and told me he would speak with the GM of SF Toyota about what had happened. During our call, he was empathetic about our time in the dealership and he said that this is not an experience that we should have had while purchasing a car. He then told me that he spoke to his GM and they will be able to cover the cost of the tires, the alignment, and the wheel locks that I had to come out of pocket for. Highly unexpected, yet highly appreciated response, and the good news coming right around Christmas. They have re-earned my trust as they have proven that customers, no matter their affluence, really do matter here.
